SAFE HELP for survivors of human trafficking, just a click away!
This resource guide was created by Christian HELP as part of SAFE of Central Florida’s Phase One research and collaboration efforts. While various directories have been created by county task forces across Central Florida, we saw that there was a need to create a more collaborative resource across county lines, and even state lines, that highlights and unites large organizations and small charities, alike.
As we began this project, we took a few things into consideration…
The directory needs to be accessible, comprehensive, and regularly maintained. Therefore, this directory has been created in paper, PDF, and web form.
The directory also needs to be SAFE. Therefore, the listings must pass a blacklist inspection by the State of Florida’s Office of Statewide Prosecution. The listings must also adhere to a strict Code of Conduct policy with the acknowledgement that any violation will result in a suspension or permanent removal of the listing (reports against a listing will result in probation until the action has been reviewed). Finally, the listings must be in business at least one year and are encouraged to pursue trauma-informed training and SAFE alliance membership.
